General final year

WHAT TO EXPECT

This third year of high school will allow you to deepen your general knowledge, skills, and general culture. You will prepare for the final exams for the general baccalaureate and make your choices on the Parcoursup website for further studies in higher education.

TIMETABLE LIST AND VOLUMES

  • Philosophy: 4 hours
  • History and Geography: 3 hours
  • LVA and LVB: 4 hours
  • Physical Education: 2 hours
  • Scientific Education: 2 hours
  • Moral and Civic Education: 18 hours per year

SPECIALTIES

Two specialized subjects must be chosen in the final year of high school from those selected in the penultimate year. These subjects must reflect the students' interests and motivations in the areas they wish to explore further to develop their personal projects.     Final year of ST2S (science and technology of health and social services)

    WHAT TO EXPECT

  • To encourage students to pursue higher education, the technical and general education courses have been thoroughly reorganized:
  • Technical courses integrating health and social issues with methodological approaches to develop independent work and critical thinking;
  • Proficiency in at least two foreign languages;
  • A two-year vocational diploma (BTS) in the health and social care sector: BTS SP3S (at Lycée Sévigné). The specific nature of the professions practiced in the health and social care sectors requires:
  • A solid scientific background;
  • A good understanding of the needs of individuals and social groups;
  • An understanding of the functioning of the structures and systems implemented within the framework of health and social policies;
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills grounded in a high level of motivation.

    WHAT TO EXPECT

    The innovative teaching methods developed in this series are primarily organized around technological activities conducted in the laboratory. Students are led to carry out experiments and projects that allow them to acquire scientific and technological skills and knowledge in the fields of bio-industries, health, the environment, and chemistry.
